Muscat: Heavy rains accompanied by active winds were reported from South al Batinah, Muscat, Al Dakhiliya, Al Batinah South and Muscat governorates.

"Rainy thunderstorms have been experienced over the northern Wilayats of Al Batinah, accompanied by that led to the blowing of unstable objects and the rise of sea waves on the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman with the flow of wadis," Oman Meteorology said.

The Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) in North al Batinah Governorate managed to rescue three people from a stranded heavy vehicle (trailer truck) in a valley and they are in good health.

Rescue teams in North Al-Batinah Governorate dealt with a number of reports of the collapse of parts of some houses due to strong winds in different areas of the governorate. No injuries were recorded.

Rescue teams in North Al-Batinah Governorate said that a person has been stranded at a wadi in the Wilayat of Saham.

Disruptions of electricity supply were also reported from some areas of Oman, said the distribution companies.
