Muscat - Oman Air has cancelled around 750 flights between July 21 and August 31 as a result of Public Authority for Civil Aviation’s (PACA) directive on suspending operations of Boeing 737 Max.

Some of the affected destinations are Salalah, Dubai, Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, Medina, Doha, Kuwait, Amman, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Calicut, Colombo and Kathmandu,

“As a result of the PACA directive on suspending operations of Boeing 737 Max, we have cancelled many flights till August 31. We are rebooking guests on alternative/next available flights to their destinations. We advise all our guests who are due to travel during the period to check on https://www.omanair.com/

Following the involvement of Ethiopian Airlines’ Boeing 737 Max 8 jet crash on March 10, PACA had grounded all aircraft of the series on March 12.

In a statement, PACA had said, “We are temporarily suspending operations of Boeing 737 Max aircraft into and out of all Omani airports until further notice.”
