Muscat – Dr. Abdelrahman El Nafie, Managing Partner of Dentons' associated firm in Oman, S&A Law Firm, has authored a new book called A Comprehensive Study of Omani Law Relating to Foreign Investment. The book has been published by Dar Al Nahdha Al Arabia in Cairo, one of the leading academic publishers in Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The book is written in Arabic and provides a critical and analytical study of the legislative policies of foreign investment in the Sultanate of Oman since the beginning of the modern renaissance, as well as a detailed study of laws and international treaties related to foreign investment.
Commenting on his latest book, Dr. Abdelrahman said, "This book aims to provide both national and foreign investors, legal practitioners and students with detailed knowledge and guidance on the various legislative policies and laws required to encourage and regulate foreign investment in the Sultanate."
Dr. Abdelrahman has been practicing law in Oman for over 30 years. He is the head of the Dispute Resolution Group at S&A Law Firm in the Sultanate and advises clients on diverse areas of the law including corporate and commercial matters. He has been working closely with the World Bank Group on advising the Oman Government in the promulgation of a new Foreign Investment Law.
