Ooredoo announced the appointment of Sultan Al Wahaibi as its new ChiefBusiness & Wholesale Officer, following his promotion from the post asDirector of-Business Sales. In his new role, Sultan will be responsible forcontinuing the rapid growth of the company's business and wholesale segments.
Sultan's extensive background includes more than 16 years of experienceleading teams as a Project Manager, Head of Wireless Communication, andDirector of the Network Modernisation Programme in Oman. As a member of theOoredoo family since 2010, Sultan grew within the company and was nurtured byits multiple leadership programmes that helped him rise to many rolesincluding Director of Implementation & Infrastructure and Director ofCapability Management for the past 5 years.
In addition to his long track record of corporate excellence, Sultan holds aBachelor's in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Business from CarletonUniversity in Ottawa, Canada. He is also a graduate of the London BusinessSchool's reputed Executive Education Programme and the Institute forManagement Development's (IMD, Switzerland) as part of the Ooredoo BusinessLeader Programme.
