Muscat: As part of its efforts to enhance passenger comfort, Oman Air has begun the process of replacing its old aircraft with new ones, an official from the airline said on Monday.

Speaking exclusively to Times of Oman, the official confirmed that the plan to replace aged aircraft is underway and that it will also result in better fuel efficiency and lower emissions for Oman Air, while serving the purpose of enhancing passenger comfort.

“Aircraft earmarked for replacement are from the Boeing 787 and 737 series. A timetable for the same is approved and is under implementation currently,” the official added.
