• Al-Badri: NBK has a leading role in enhancing the skills of government employees for efficient performance of their jobs

Underscoring its keenness to raise the banking knowledge and develop national cadres across all government entities, National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), organized a training course to qualify and train new recruits in the General Directorate of Experts at MoJ, themed “Explaining the Mechanism of Banking Business According to the Central Bank of Kuwait’s Governing Laws and Decisions and Its Work Nature." The course aims to qualify and train new experts in banking operations areas, in order to facilitate litigation proceedings and speed up the resolution of lawsuits related to the banking and financial sector.

The course organized by the Group's Human Resources, in cooperation with the Legal Affairs Group of National Bank of Kuwait, was attended by 141 participants from the new recruits of the General Directorate of Experts in MoJ.

The course activities included opening speeches by Mr. Emad Al-Ablani, General Manager of Group Human Resources, Dr. Galal Wafaa Al-Badri, General Counsel - Head of Legal Affairs Group at National Bank of Kuwait, and a representative from the Ministry of Justice, Dr. Amer Mohammed Al-Rattam. The course also included two introductory lectures given by Dr. Ali Ismail from Legal Affairs Group at National Bank of Kuwait on the mechanism of the banking business and the governing laws and decisions. In addition, there was an open discussion regarding all banking activities and the relevant regulatory standards.

On this occasion, Mr. Emad Al-Ablani, General Manager of Group Human Resources said: “At NBK, we are keen to raise the banking knowledge among all segments of society through the specialized courses we provide to employees in many government entities, which aim to develop the human cadres and enhance their skills, as part of the bank's social responsibility.”

"We have a well-established relationship with the Ministry of Justice for long years of fruitful cooperation, during which the bank provided many specialized training courses to the MoJ employees. In this context, we provide this training course to new recruits to help them learn about the nature of the banking business and regulatory standards related to their work," added Al-Ablani.

Al-Ablani noted that this training course comes in line with the bank’s direction to support the youth and develop their skills and potentials by acquainting them with all banking activities, which contributes to enhancing their skills, diversifying their experiences, and supporting their career path in the future.

On his part, Dr. Galal Wafaa Al-Badri, General Counsel - Head of Legal Affairs Group at National Bank of Kuwait said: “At NBK, we aim, through these specialized training courses, to familiarize the MoJ experts with the particulars of banking operations and applicable regulatory standards, and to enrich their knowledge in this regard, in a way that contributes to promoting justice and speeding up the resolution of banking lawsuits.”
