Yazd, July 13, IRNA - Deputy Managing Director of Tavanir Company said on Monday that Iran generates 200 billion kilowatts electricity annually.

Gholamreza Khoush-Kholq told reporters that country's power plants capacity is 70,000 megawatts.

He said that peak hour electricity consumption was 41,000 megawatts last year, but, and it has currently exceeded 50,000 megawatts.

He said that country has 31 million subscribers for electricity.

The official said that 30 percent of subscribers of Tavanir Company are home subscriber, 12 percent agriculture, 30 percent industrial users and the rest is for public and other utilities.
