RIYADH — The suspension of international flights and entry and exit by land and sea via all ports and crossing points of the Kingdom will continue until further notice, according to what was approved by the relevant authorities, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted on Sunday the Minister of Transport and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Transport Authority (PTA) Eng. Saleh Bin Nasser Al-Jasser as stating.

On his own behalf and on behalf of all employees of the Ministry of Transport and the transportation system, Eng. Al-Jasser expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, on the issuance of the approval to lift the curfew completely all over the Kingdom and return to normal conditions.

Al-Jasser expressed his pride in the efforts exerted by the leadership, may Allah Almighty bless and protect them, throughout the previous stage in confronting this pandemic with all its challenges and mitigating its negative impacts and repercussions.

The leadership provided its generous support to all agencies in the government and private sectors in general, and the transportation sector in particular, throughout this crisis, stressing that this support contributed to the completion of many safety works with a total length of 2.77 million meters in various regions of the Kingdom, aside from cleaning and maintenance works during curfew hours, Al-Jasser said.

The Transport Minister stressed the importance of integration with all transportation users to address the challenges of the stage by their cooperation and having the sense of responsibility that will cause them to comply with the necessary preventative measures and returning to normal life with caution.

He confirmed the readiness of the system and all its facilities and installations for the next stage by its commitment to the necessary precautionary and preventive measures and its commitment to the directives of the prudent leadership that place man’s health at the top of its priorities.
