ArabFinance: The Egyptian government increased the social reform provision to EGP 19.5 billion in fiscal year (FY) 2020/2021, Minister of International Cooperation Rania al Mashat said in a July 13th statement.

Al Mashat added that the country also raised the number of Takaful and Karama (Solidarity and Dignity) program’s beneficiaries to 100,000 in FY 2020/2021.

In addition, Egypt plans to prepare for the future by supporting workforce, financial inclusion and digitizing banking services, and equal opportunity.

The government recently announced 700 scholarships for high school students of families listed on Takaful and Karama.

Moreover, the ‘Interactive Communication Platform’ will be launched as part of the social solidarity ministry’s mobile application services to serve the beneficiaries of the program.
