That's according to the Ministry of Education who stated all private schools that implement the ministry curriculum, along with government schools, will start their end-of-term break as scheduled despite, the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Officials also confirmed that teachers and staff will break a week later and the last working day for them will be July 9.

It's said there had been no change to the original dates announced earlier.

Meanwhile, schools have shifted to an online approach where students have been engaging in remote learning by having live sessions with their teachers, as well as studying from downloadable material.

Earlier, the UAE's Ministry of Education had said that any decision for the academic year 2020-2021, slated to begin in September, is still "under review".

Decisions will be taken based on the health situation and precautionary measures in the country.
