AmCham Egypt announced on Tuesday it’s new Board of Governors for 2021-2023. AmCham concluded its elections with the victory of Tarek Tawfik as president, replacing Sherif Kamel.

Tawfik will take over the chairmanship of the chamber on 21 May.

At the same time, David Chi, regional vice president and Apache Egypt general manager, won by acclamation the Executive Vice President of AmCham from the US side. The Executive Vice President on the Egyptian side was awarded to Tarek Mohanna.

Executive Director and Senior Country Representative, Head of Treasury Services, J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, Soha Ali, became the Vice President for Membership.

While the Vice Chairperson of Hassan Allam Construction, Amr Allam became the Vice President for Programmes.

The new board also includes Gamal Ahmed Abou Ali, Partner, Hassouna & Abou Ali Law Offices for legal affairs, Hatem El Ezzawy, Managing Director, PICO Group as Treasurer.

CEO Retail Banking at CIB Ahmed Issa, Chairperson of ECOnsult Sarah El Battouty, and ACTIS Partner and Head of MENA Sherif El Kholy became board members.
