• Announces readiness to launch online store and new mega projects, including a shopping mall.

Dubai: Retail chain major, Al-Madina Group opened two new projects, Crown Mall and Mango Hypermarket, on Al Asayal Street in Jebel Ali Industrial Area-1.

The opening of the new outlets comes in the backdrop of the retail chain celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Launching the projects at a press conference, Al-Madina Group officials said the Crown Mall spread across 1, 23,000 square feet will offer customers a unique shopping experience across 35 retail shops. The Mango Hypermarket, occupying a full single floor in the mall, will be the largest and diverse of its kind spread across 60,000 square feet.

While the Mango Hypermarket will offer an extensive range of products, the Crown Mall will add to the shopping experience with multiple conveniences such as money exchange, houses, clinic, pharmacy, gold jewelry shops, mobile shops, and a variety of restaurants, a saloon and cafeteria.

The attractions at the Mango Hypermarket will range from the choicest fruits and vegetables to fresh fish, meat, a roastery and a live bakery with kitchen with all facilities.

“As part of our 50th year of business success, we are also lining up exciting promotions and shopping experiences which will run for a year,” Mr. Abdullah Poyil, Managing Director of Al-Madina Group said, adding that the Group owed its success to its well-wishers, customers and hardworking employees.

The retail major is offering a huge inaugural discount and up to one kilogram of gold while various gift schemes have been lined up to delight customers.  Customers can also download `Maddy’ the Al-Madina loyalty programme app which offers opportunity to earn points at each shopping which can later be redeemed.

Mr. Poyil also unveiled a new logo of the Group’s upcoming online platform, `Al-Madina Daily’ at the press conference. The online store connects all outlets of the Group offering a comprehensive product and shopping experience to customers. The online store has been developed after extensive research and will also offer attractive offers and gift schemes at its launch soon.

Officials of Al-Madina Group also unveiled major expansion plans which are underway including a 1.5 million square foot shopping mall in Dubai Investment Park and 2.5 million square foot shopping mall in Al Khail Heights.  They said more projects are in the pipeline and construction work on the Group’s supermarket and shopping centers were also being undertaken.
