UAE - Medical fitness test result and UAE residency visa in 30 minutes? It will now be possible with Dubai's new smart medical centre.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum opened the first of its kind 'Salem Intelligent Center' in Dubai on Thursday. The centre will significantly reduce the processing time of medical examination from registration to issuance of residency visa.

The centre is the first of its kind in the world, Sheikh Hamdan tweeted.

The center employs fourth industrial revolution technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, robotics and the Internet of Things to provide exceptional service as expected of Dubai Government services.

Residents will get their medical test and residency visa issued in just 30 minutes instead of 28 hours.

The smart 'Salem' project, jointly launched by Dubai Health Authority and General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs, aims to increase customers' happiness.
