Cairo –  The Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, announced that the poverty rate fell to 29%, while the inflation rate slid to 5.7% for the first time in 14 years.

During his speech to the House of Representatives on Monday, Madbouly said that the economic reform programme reached a completion rate of 100%, according to state-run TV.

Unemployment rate rose to 9% after the coronavirus pandemic, after dropping to 7.7% earlier. However, it declined to 7% afterwards thanks to the economic reform policy.
