KUWAIT CITY: Ministry of Public Works Undersecretary Eng Ismail Al-Failakawi issued a decision to terminate the services of 80 expat employees effective March 2021, reports Al-Anba daily.

He explained the ministry’s aim is to improve its work mechanism and empower national workers through the Kuwaitization and replacement plan that it intends to implement soon.

He disclosed those covered by the decision include expatriate consultants, accountants and engineers; those working under the rewards item and special contracts; and those who already worked in the ministry in the past.

He affirmed the ministry sent termination notices to the concerned employees and their names were forwarded to the Civil Service Commission (CSC) as per the latter’s request to be notified about such steps.
