UAE-based facilities management company Farnek has reached an agreement with leading ICT solutions company Huawei for the smooth activation of digital intelligence by connecting facilities and assets through Hitek 4.0 using the top firm’s hi-tech solutions.

Under the terms of the technical partnership, Huawei will assist Farnek with periodic knowledge transfer and support on smart initiatives via its AED200 million ($54.7 million) staff accommodation centre – ‘Farnek Village’ located in Dubai South.

More specifically, Huawei will be supporting Farnek’s latest smart initiative, Hitek solution 4.0. by not only providing a combination of 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, powered by AI and Huawei Smart City, but also bringing operational technologies including AI security platforms and smart plant rooms, said the company in a statement.

This will contribute towards Farnek’s increased agility, efficiency and dynamism, it added.

Hitek 4.0 uses the increased bandwidth, ultra-low latency and enhanced security, to connect assets from multiple sites, so that they can be centrally monitored and managed.

This is achieved through the concept of a digitally connected workforce and customers, to its in-house stream of technically advanced and cost-effective solutions, utilising the Internet of Things (IoT), Mobility, Cloud, Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) based technologies, amongst others.

On the contract win, CEO Markus Oberlin said: "The system supports operational efficiencies, staff welfare, and sustainability while saving clients significant amounts of money by reducing manpower costs by up to 17% by transferring from traditional FM operational management to HITEK’s smart management."

“Delivering quality services and offering a seamless experience, which enhances our business capabilities, through our connected workforce, has always been our top priority and this is one of the main reasons why we decided to partner with Huawei,” added Oberlin.-TradeArabia News Service
