Six infrastructure and sewerage projects worth BD44 million were awarded last April and May.

The schemes are financed by Abu Dhabi Development Fund as part of the Gulf Development Programme.

These include expansion and revamping of Shaikh Zayed Highway (BD23.4m) and the sewerage network in north-western Bahrain (BD652,000).

A BD7.74m project to construct a new headquarters of the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry, near Bahrain International Airport, has also been awarded.
