LONDON- BB Energy has hired Andrea Fraccaroli from Italy's Eni ENI.MI to lead its west African crude trading, the trading house's global head of crude oil trading said on Wednesday.

Fraccaroli is due to start his new role in London in about one month's time, BB Energy's Alessandro Liberati said.

Fraccaroli was at Eni for 13 years as a commercial liaison with Eni's producing affiliates and then as a crude oil trader in the Mediterranean and west African markets. His most recent role at Eni was west African crude lead.

Privately held BB Energy was founded in Lebanon and has its main trading office in London.
