The health price index stabilized during the fourth quarter of 2018 compared with the third quarter of 2018, reported state news agency Wam, citing data released by the Abu Dhabi Statistics Centre (SCAD).
''One of the main groups that led to the rise in the health price index during the fourth quarter of 2018 compared with the fourth quarter 2017 is the increase in prices of medical products and equipment by 4.7 per cent during the comparison period,'' SCAD noted.
The Emirate of Abu Dhabi has witnessed a remarkable development in the last decade, with the opening of many hospitals and international medical centres. And supporting the medical tourism sector is one of the objectives of the vision of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi 2030.
The Health Price Index aims to establish a database of prices of health products and services and measuring the change in them.
