• Trip included informative trips to Google, LinkedIn, and other tech giants' headquarters

Kuwait - Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, announced the conclusion of the third phase of the Zain Great Idea program that recently took place at Silicon Valley, San Francisco, and witnessed the Accelerator Program with Mind The Bridge foundation.

The third phase, which continued for three weeks, is considered one of the most important phases of the entire program that witnessed its third edition this year. The trip to Silicon Valley saw the 12 qualified projects undergo an extensive training program that involved the expertise of some of the world's top technology giants in preparation for the program's upcoming final phase.

This initiative comes under Zain's Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability umbrellas, and in line with the company's vision to further develop and promote the skills and capabilities of ambitious youth in Kuwait, ultimately contributing to the progress of national economy.

The third phase of the ZGI Program commenced with a number of introductory workshops and lectures with Mind The Bridge, whose main role was to guide and mentor each of the participants throughout their stay at San Francisco. A number of training activities were specifically selected as part of the program to develop their projects and provide innovative insights with the expertise of the world's top technology companies.

Zain, in partnership with Brilliant Lab, selected Mind The Bridge to organize and mentor the third phase's educational program for a number of reasons, of which was it being based in Silicon Valley, the international capital of technology and startup businesses, which made the process of visiting the world's top international experts more convenient.

The informative visits Zain arranged for the participants included the tech giant Google, as well as famous social media platform LinkedIn. In addition, the visits included many other key players in the tech industry like Autodesk, Mashape, Do, Frog Designs, as well as interactive visits to the Computer History Museum and many other institutions.

Participants benefited from the training activities and acquired a great number of skills that helped them refine their projects in line with international standards. Many of the topics covered included the secrets of marketing products and services, creating strategies and visions, financial management, teamwork skills, as well as technical areas that concern technology-related projects.

It is worth noting that Zain recently concluded the second phase, ZGI Boot Camp, which saw the participants taking part in extensive workshops and training sessions for two weeks that helped them shape their projects up to international standards. The Boot Camp program was facilitated by world-class educational institutions featuring facilitators from Harvard University, Stanford University, IE Business School, and the MIT Enterprise Forum.

This year's program is focused on technology-related projects that provide creative technical solutions such as mobile applications and interactive websites that provide both commercial and social entrepreneurship services, due to Zain's belief that the technology continues to enrich the lives of societies around the world.
