During commencement ceremony of Arab Media Forum

Kuwait - The organizing committee of the Arab Media Forum presented Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, with the Media Excellence Award during the commencement ceremony of the 12th edition of the forum that was held under the patronage and presence of HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah.

The Prime Minister, Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah, along with HE Sheikh Salman Al Homoud Al Sabah Minister of Information and Minster of State for Youth Affairs, presented the Media Excellence Award token to Faisal Abul, Zain's Chief Regulatory, Legal Affairs and Roaming Officer. Zain believes in the importance of the role press and media plays in the development of communities, and the company prides itself for further highlighting its leading role.

This honoring comes in light of Zain's distinguished media involvement, and it further showcases the company's role as a leading private sector company. Zain will continue supporting this very important field which carries significant and informative messaging to the public at large and the communications world as a whole, whether through traditional or modern media tools.

The forum, sponsored by Zain for four consecutive years, has proven itself to be one of the region's most prominent events that attend to Arab Media. The event brought together many ministers, media executives, journalists, academics, authors, actors, businessmen, and social figures from all around the Arab world.

The 12th edition of the Arab Media Forum mainly focused on the various effects and implementations of social media tools and networks, as they hugely impacted media communications in recent years. The Forum hosted a number of prominent speakers and experts who took part in discussions that addressed the effects, ethics, and various challenges of social media.
