Manama - 14th March, 2015: Capital Club Bahrain, the Kingdom's Premier Private City Club, held an open forum with the CEO of the Bahrain International Circuit, Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The forum is a part of a series of programs organized by the Capital Club to highlight upcoming regional and international events held in the Kingdom.

"The Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, has since its inception played an integral part in developing the economy - directly and indirectly - while generating international media attention on the Kingdom," Shaikh Salman told the members of the Capital Club.

"Last year was our most successful year, both in attendance and in revenue, with over 85,000 visitors over the three days," added Shaikh Salman.

"This year the team has put together a bigger event, to welcome the night race held between April 17 and 19 under the theme of 'Light Up Your Night', which encapsulates the attitude of the Formula One Championship. This is the second time that the Bahrain International Circuit hosts a night race," he added.

Last year's night race was a monumental success, attracting a Sunday-only record of 31,000 fans for an epic occasion that saw Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton claim a maiden victory in Sakhir.

Speaking about the Business Events and Forums held at the Capital Club, General Manager Dina Haikel, stated that 'we aim to host different types of business-led events such as debates, open panels, forums and workshops for our Members to benefit from. The Capital Club is the leading business hub, and organizing such events provides a platform for Members to network and meet.
