SAK Holding Group added another milestone to its consecutive successes. SAK Trading & Contracting Company - one of the group's subsidiaries and its operational arm - received 3 global certifications all at once, (PAS 99), and (ISO 9001: 2008), and (OHSAS 18001: 2007). SAK Holding Group Chairman of the Board of Directors, HE Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani, received these certificates from Mrs. Lamis Marqaha, Commissioner Regional Director of TUV Inter Cert SAAR, one of the unbiased world's authoritative bodies, a leader in the field of inspection and granting this type of certificates committed to international standards, in a special ceremony held on this occasion at Ezdan Hotel, attended by the CEO (Engineer Hesham Al-Sahtari), Deputy CEO (Mr. Abdul Rahman Al Najjar), the Senior Management, SAK Holding & Subsidiaries Managers, Guest from PKF & TUV InterCert, reporters, the people who materialized this achievement were honored as well at the ceremony.
SAK Trading & Contracting Company gained these three international certificates, as a result of developing its own management systems and mechanisms, this reflects the dedication of the group, the leader in the field of real estate development, to sustainable development in all the companies that fall under its umbrella. H.E. Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani described this certificate as the achievement that will solidify the existence of SAK Holding Group and its affiliates in the real estate market as a leading organization, that adhere to the highest standards of performance, and professionalism and productive integration. Over the past months, SAK Trading & Contracting Company succeeded in appraising the mechanisms and systems installed in all its departments, to confirm that management systems live up to international standards to keep pace with the rapid developments in the business world, especially in the construction sector, so as to enhance its position against challenges and risks, and to deal with them in accordance with the highest international standards. TUV InterCert limited Commissioner Regional Director, Mrs. Lamis Marqaha, says large corporations must place complying to international standards among its priorities and strategic plans in light of the development in the construction and trading and business, both locally, regionally and globally, adding that SAK is one of the very first companies in the region that attains this international accreditation, by means of receiving three prestigious globally recognized certificates.
Mrs. Lamis explained, "PAS99 (Integrated Management System), main focus is companies and establishments that apply the requirements of more than one of the specifications of the management system to facilitate the implementation of more of these specifications, and evaluate joint congruence. She explained that in order for a company or an organization to benefit from this certification, they need a key entrance and that is the requirements of the specifications that are applied by ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and OHSAS 18001, and other specifications.
She explained, "OHSAS 18001 is an internationally recognized standard for managing Occupational Safety and Health. Organizations plan to apply strict measures to reduce risks associated with occupational safety and health by applying the requirements of the standard. She pointed out that this standard has been the design to measure the effect of the organizations activities on occupational safety and health, and reduce hazards and risks causing accidents, and stop legal or regulatory breaches.
Speaking about the benefits of OHSAS 18001, she added, "it is very important to identify and assess occupational health and safety risks in a work environment according to international standards, it defines the relevant legal and legislative requirements, and reduce injuries, through risks and major accidents prevention and control. In it trains and educates employees and staff on how to follow procedures that limit occupational hazards, which is useful in reducing material losses caused by accidents, and delays, and other countless pros. Statistics indicate that OHSAS 18001 improved occupational safety and health management techniques by 92.5%, and increased workers awareness of the requirements of occupational safety and health management systems by 97%, it also contributed in reducing the number of days of absence due to injuries of employees by 28%, it achieved a decrease in workers injuries and incidents rate by 62%
She also added, "ISO 9001 certificate is one of ISO 9000 standards, which is a set of basic global standards, and directives that is applied by organizations and companies to improve quality. It is made of a number of requirements and conditions. Attaining the ISO 9001 standard certification, confirms that production and trade and inspection operations in the company is applied in accordance to a sound quality system.
Chief Auditor also said, "ISO 9001 standards delivers many benefits that begin with creation of more efficient and effective operations, increase customer satisfaction and retention, employee motivation, profits, and productivity and raises awareness, and morale. On the other hand it reduce audits and wastage.

A special committee assigned by SAK Holding Group and SAK Trading & Contracting Company, worked for several months in conjunction with auditors from the international organization to acquire this international certification. Mr. Muhannad Jassim, the chairman of the special committee, described this breakthrough as a paradigm shift in the company's trajectory. He said it reflects the excellence of the group's quality and management system, and the extent of its ability to evolve and improve in activities. He pointed out that these certificates are universally acknowledged, they include PAS 99 certificate, ISO 9001: 2008 certificate, OHSAS 18001: 2007 certificate, In addition to the documentation that relates to these certificates, pointing out that the ISO is a global assessment system
