Muscat: The First Edition of the Oman Cleaning and Facilities Management (OCFM) Conference was successfully ended on 17th November 2016. The event was inaugurated by H.E. Engineer Mohsin bin Mohammed bin Ali Al Shaikh, Chairman of Muscat Municipality.
The event was sponsored by 20 local and international companies which attracted key industry professionals from Oman to the event. Over 275 business meetings were scheduled between these companies and business professionals. Business visitors came from different companies like OAMC, Saud Bahwan Group, Carillion Alawi, PEIE etc
In conference, 17 renowned speakers discussed some key issues in industry and shared important information about the latest trends and technologies in Facilities Management and Pest Control. Over 200 delegates attended the conference which shows positive sign for the future of this industry in Oman
The first day of the conference was focused on the products, people and practices to enhance the health, efficiency and reduce the cost involved in the FM industry. It was a line-up of world-class presenters covering everything from the nuts and bolts of facility management, to the future of high-tech buildings and to the trends regarding sustainability and reducing environmental impact. Some of the speakers included Karl Dixon, GM- Interserve Oman; Adrian Jarvis, GM-FSI Solutions Middle East; Mr. Neelesh Sogani, Corporate HSE Manager-Powertech Engineering; Mr. Hassan Benhamadi, Sulo-Plastic Omnium group France; Ashok D. The second day of the conference was aimed to converge solution providers and government bodies at one platform towards assessing the best solutions for improving the standards of Pest Control across the Sultanate. The speakers included from Muscat Municipality; Sumitomo Corporation; Eng Safwan Al Fakhri – Orkin; Dr. Marshed M.N. Kharusy – Sur Overseas; Dr. Ali Al Wahaibi- Sultan Qaboos University and a speaker from Al Ariq Equipment LLC.
