Cairo, Egypt, 03 March 2015 - Hilton Worldwide is pleased to announce the appointment of food and beverage expert, Gregory Thierion, to the role of Regional Director of Food & Beverage Operations, Egypt and Levant/ Africa and Indian Ocean.

Thierion has been part of the Hilton Worldwide team for over 17 years, he brings with him a wealth of experience gained from his tenure at various properties worldwide. He began his career with Hilton Worldwide in the Banqueting Department at Hilton Strasbourg in France, where he later became Food and Beverage Manager. He has also worked at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja in Nigeria as Food and Beverage Manager and Hilton Yaoundé in Cameroon as Director of Operations, where he managed successful major renovation projects.

Working at various properties has allowed me to expand my cultural experiences and learn more about diverse client needs. I hope to impart this experience to my fellow team members, and also, to learn from them and ensure cohesiveness across all Food and Beverage functions', said Thierion, at Hilton Sandton where he will be based.

As Regional Director of Food & Beverage Operations, Thierion will be in charge of managing all Food and Beverage operations in existing and new hotels within the region, evaluate and review new trends in the industry and all competitor analyses. He will also reinforce training and development to ensure team members are kept abreast of relevant industry innovations.

Thierion is an alumni of Hospitality College of Strasbourg in France and has worked in events organization, implementing systems and procedures for sales and budget control. A tennis enthusiast also has experience in managing the overall Food and Beverage operations, refurbishment projects and performance reviews for team members.
