After four successful awards ceremonies in Muscat, Kuala Lumpur and Dubai, Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA) are making their debut in Bahrain on 28th September when the 5th GIFA ceremony takes place at Gulf Hotel, Manama. More than 30 institutions drawn from the global Islamic financial services will receive awards in over 40 fiercely fought categories. National Bank of Kazakhstan (NBK) is the official host of this year's awards ceremony while Edbiz Consulting continues to manage the awards on behalf of Islamic Bankers Association (the official organiser of the event). Like previous years, it is expected that a large contingent of Islamic bankers, educational institutions and training providers from Malaysia will participate in the event, together with representation from USA, UK, South Africa, Pakistan and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

GIFA awards ceremonies are held in different parts of the world to share Malaysian enthusiasm with other stakeholders in the global Islamic financial services industry. It is expected that the forthcoming GIFA ceremony will enhance cooperation between Malaysia and Bahrain, the two countries that have been on the forefront of promoting and developing the industry.
