Information City contributes to early technical education

Dubai, UAE, 27th April 2015

In its second phase, "Educate a Child, Build a Nation" Initiative continues its success among young learners and their families. This phase which was organized for girls only was held at Etisalat Academy in Dubai, for three consecutive days, between 22nd and 25th April, 2015.

Under the chairmanship of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, the second phase of the program was designated for a group of 120 girls, between 8 and 13 years old, who were nominated by Information City to join its unique initiative "Educate a Child, Build a Nation". A modern laptop was set for each girl, through which she was trained on the best uses of computer operating and key software. This second phase was held with MTN, the strategic partner of the program, who provided the young learners with best practices and principles of using the computers.

"Educate a Child, Build a Nation" Initiative is one of its kind among other initiatives or learning programs in the UAE, as the three days training program proved to be informative as well as cultural, and aimed at enlightening and opening the horizons of young girls who admire technology. For many years "Educate a Child, Build a Nation" initiative proved its success and effectiveness, and since its inception in 2010, has won the sponsorship of international entities and brands.

HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, said "We consider this educational initiative a very unique one and serves as a solid foundation for early learning. It is admired by officials from several governmental bodies, notably the Ministry of Education."

When drawing the outline of this Initiative, one of Information City concerns, was to enhance the social awareness of the CSR.
