Dubai: Dubai Properties Group (DPG), the development arm of Dubai Holding and the master developer of world class destinations in Dubai, has announced further updates in key attractions at its DUBAILAND destination including Miracle Garden and Dubai Sports Cityfollowing positive investor engagement.
Forming an integral part of the Emirate's offering, DUBAILAND includes a wide range of entertainment, sporting, shopping, leisure and residential projects. Today's announcement at the annual Arabian Travel Market is driven by strong market growth, as the district continues to attract significant interest by 3rd party investors.

Already home to attractions including IMG Worlds of Adventure, Miracle Garden, Motor City, Dubai Sports City, Sustainable City and Dubai Outlet Mall, DUBAILAND's entertainment and leisure offering is continuously growing to meet increased customer demand.
IMG Worlds of Adventure
IMG Worlds of Adventure(IMGWOA) is set to be the world's largest indoor themed entertainment destination built around four exciting zones.
Spanning over 1.5 million sq. ft. with a capacity to welcome in excess of 20,000 visitors a day, IMGWOA will offer a unique array of adrenaline-pumping roller coasters, thrill rides and hair-raising attractions that are set to put Dubai on the international map when it comes to the entertainment and leisure industry. From never-seen-before immersive experiences and a 12-screen cinema complex to an incredible line-up of retail and dining outlets IMGWOA is gearing up to offer a host of amazing adventures for visitors of all ages.
Marking a key construction milestone, the erection of the IMGWOA massive space frame is now complete with work on the roof and wall cladding in progress.
Miracle Garden
Following Akar's second phase launch of its popular eco-tourist attraction, Miracle Garden, the Butterfly Garden has now also been revealed. One of the biggest in the world, this unique 4,000 sq. m butterfly shaped park will include nine domes home to 24 different species of butterfly. The garden also includes an impressive butterfly and insect museum where visitors can learn about thousands of species from all over the world and their marvelous life cycles. Additional components of the project include a butterfly themed flower park, ponds with over ten different colors of Koi fish that visitors will be able to feed and a retail area where visitors can shop and dine.
Dubai Sports City
The latest project launched by Dubai Sports City, the Rugby Park, provides state-of-the-art, purpose-built facilities for all sports enthusiasts. Tailored for amateurs as well as professionals, the project includes two full sized IRB standard floodlit grass pitches, an IAAF grade athletics track, tennis, netball and basketball courts along with seating that can accommodate over 2,500 spectators.
Athletes and visitors canalso enjoy a selection of on-site support facilities including changing rooms, a medical treatment room and a viewing lounge. Additional plans for the park include a high performance gym, world class sports and science rehabilitation facilities along with a full sports medical clinic.
Sustainable city
Diamond Developers has confirmed that the first hundred townhouses at Sustainable City development will be completed in 2014, with all residential buildings and the community centre built by 2015. Set to be the first Net Zero Energy City in Dubai, work has already kicked off on an eco-water stream system and a sustainable farming project that will span across 3 hectares and plans also include a 10 megawatt solar power production facility.
On completion, Sustainable City will include 500 townhouses and a solar powered golf cart transportation system. Residents and visitors will also be able to enjoy 3km of shaded cycling and horse riding tracks in addition to an eco-friendly resort to complement a 15,000 sq. mtr. mixed-use development for retail and commercial outlets.
Centrally located between Dubai International Airport and Al-Maktoum International Airport, visitor attractions within DUBAILAND continue to attract millions of visitors every year, with over 11 million recorded in 2013 alone.
