DCNS is a world leader in naval defence and an innovator in energy. As a naval prime contractor, shipbuilder and systems integrator, DCNS combines resources and expertise spanning the naval defence value chain and entire system lifecycles. DCNS delivers innovative solutions from integrated warships to strategic systems, equipment, services and new energy solutions. DCNS will participate to NAVDEX and IDEX exhibitions in Abu Dhabi from 22 to 26 February 2015. It is a chance for DCNS to showcase its expertise in this key export market and to meet key players.

DCNS's product portfolio includes naval systems for surface combatants, submarines, services, underwater weapons, simulators for initial and ongoing crew training, and innovative solutions in marine renewable energy (MRE). Technologically complex programmes are DCNS's core area of expertise. The keys to managing complexity begin with a talented workforce and training in the relevant technologies, combined with team-building skills to bring together DCNS centres, customers and industrial partners.  For over ten years now, DCNS has been managing its industrial activities on environment-friendly lines. The Group is currently carrying out programmes for clients on four continents. The submarine programme for Brazilian Navy, which is a world first in terms of scale, is now in the production phase. Furthermore, the contracts DCNS won in Egypt and Malaysia for Gowind corvettes confirm DCNS offering's growing competitive potential.

Gowind is an exceptional tool for missions ranging from counter-piracy to sea control and denial including anti-submarine warfare operations. These corvettes have been designed to be simple to operate, easy to maintain and efficient. Gowind® platforms and mission systems can be tailored to customer requirements for an optimum trade-off between homeland security and naval combat capabilities.

At IDEX DCNS will exhibit the Frigate FREMM (French Fregate Europeene Multi-Mission), OPV 90, Gowind 2500, the Scorpene 2000 submarine and the MU 90. Additional exhibits at NAVDEX will include scale models of DCNS ships, FREMM, Gowind 2500 and Gowind 1000, Scorpene 1000 submarine, F21 and Contralto S.

Service capabilities are another major strength DCNS will present at IDEX.  Through-life Support, modernization, training and partnerships with local shipyards and contractors, all with a close eye on deadlines and costs.

DCNS is at the forefront of developments in Marine Renewable Energies, a growing new business sector. The DCNS Group is the only manufacturer in the world to have invested in all four main technologies sectors; marine turbines, floating and wind turbines (wave energy).

DCNS' local and long-term commitment in the Emirates is illustrated by the Group's decision to set up an office in U.A.E since 2010 and to look after others GCC countries.
