China Trade Week Middle East will be hosted at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) on 7th- 9th December 2015.

Organised by MIE Events JLT, the 3-day event will showcase over 200 Chinese exhibitors who are looking to meet and do businesson a large-scale with sales agents or wholesalers/regional distributors.  Investors will also be in attendance looking for opportunities to invest in the region.  Exhibitors come from a wide variety of industry sectors offering 1000's of products including construction materials and machinery, clothing & home textiles, Chinese arts & crafts, power & energy, lighting,  print & packaging equipment, home electrical & electronics, healthcare, sports & fitness, auto parts & accessories, and stone and ceramic products, to name just a few.

The show is the only China dedicated trade event hosted in Abu Dhabi.

The organisers have announced they have already secured support and are working closely with the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce & Industry and the UAE Ministry of Economy.

David Wang, Managing Director of MIE Events JLT explains the reasoning behind the event: "In 2013, China's President Xi Jinping outlined a new initiative called "One Belt, One Road" which is the catch phrase describing China's desire to re-establish the old Silk Road trading routes both over land and via sea through the Maritime route. The Middle East and in particular the UAE has a significant strategic importance in the success of China's "One Belt, One Road" initiative, providing the largest and most developed import/export hub in the region. UAE is currently China's second largest trading partner in the Gulf region and the largest in terms of buying Chinese products. It seems only logical that we at MIE Events JLT should host an event that will assist in growing these political, commercial and cultural ties even further."

This announcement comes in the wake of increased trade activities between China and UAE, which continues to influence bilateral relations of the two countries.  China Trade Week Middle East 2015 will create stronger ties between Chinese exhibitors and regional businesses looking to source products from China. In essence, bringing China to Abu Dhabi will provide many local and regional companies the best chance to source the best quality products at the best prices from China, without the expense of having to travel to there or suffer the inherent risks of sourcing through the internet.

A series of practical and highly informative workshops will take place during the event and are offered free to all the visitors. Chinese and local speakers will provide the visiting business professionals with the tools to make a better informed decision when it comes to sourcing and doing business with China.
