JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia — Carrier, a world leader in high-technology heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) solutions, introduced its latest innovations for Saudi Arabia, including its new variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system, the next-generation 30XV air-cooled screw chiller, a high-efficiency inverter hi-wall and its commercial refrigeration products, at the HVACR Expo Saudi 2018. Carrier, which operates in Saudi Arabia through Arabian Air Conditioning Company and Carrier Saudi Service Company, its joint venture companies with E.A. Juffali & Brothers, is part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

“On behalf of Carrier, we are honored to serve as platinum sponsors of this event dedicated to the experts of the HVACR industry in Saudi Arabia and to introduce the latest, state-of-the-art technology into Saudi Arabia,” says Giorgio Elia, vice president, UTC Climate, Controls & Security, Middle East. “Our portfolio of products showcased at the event demonstrates our commitment to sustainability, continuously improving energy efficiency and improving the comfort level of residents in the harsh Middle East climate conditions.”

Carrier’s latest innovations include:

  • The new AquaForce 30XV air-cooled variable-speed screw chiller with Greenspeed® intelligence continues Carrier’s legacy of providing customers with the most efficient heating and cooling equipment in the HVAC industry. The new system uses the environmentally-balanced refrigerant, Puron®, which does not emit any ozone-depleting chemicals and is non-flammable and non-corrosive.
  • Carrier has strengthened its direct expansion product offering by introducing the Carrier X-Power VRF product line with its high ambient version operating up to 52°C, offering a high efficiency ratio (EER) of 14.9.
  • Carrier’s high-efficiency ductless split indoor and outdoor solutions, which are fully compliant with the new Saudi Arabian Standards Organization regulations, offer reduced energy consumption and improved performance.
  • The new high-efficiency hi-wall unit, which uses inverter technology, offers excellent energy efficiency ratings with greatly reduced energy consumption and improved performance in new, elegant design options. Carrier inverter units can easily increase or decrease power to the compressor, ensuring they operate more efficiently and economically. Inverter hi-walls are up to 30% more efficient compared to similar capacity fixed-speed systems.

Carrier commercial refrigeration products were also displayed, showcasing complete and sustainable natural refrigerant technologies for the food retail segment.

In addition, the team delivered presentations on the latest advancements in the industry, with topics ranging from innovations in air-cooled chiller technology for high ambient environments, to designing superior direct expansion systems using inverter technology for developers and end users, and complete and sustainable commercial refrigeration solutions. Carrier’s full complement of aftermarket sales and service offerings, and factory-authorized parts and allied products were also highlighted.

“We are proud to have a wide range of products and solutions for all types of residential and commercial applications.  We strive to continuously update them with product innovations,” says Olaf Heyns, general manager, Arabian Air Conditioning Company. “At Carrier, sustainable innovation is at the core of what we do so we constantly evolve our products to new levels of operational efficiency.”

The exhibition and conference is the largest of its kind in Saudi Arabia, attracting thousands of visitors. HVACR Expo Saudi 2018 focused on residential and industrial air conditioning innovations.
