Sulaymaniyah - Iraq: Byblos Bank inaugurated its fourth branch in Iraq and the first for a Lebanese bank in the City of Sulaymaniyah, in the presence of Mr. Abdul Rahman Saleh, General Director of the Central Bank of Iraq - Sulaymaniyah Branch, Mr. Walid Kazan, Assistant General Manager and Head of International Network Division at Byblos Bank Group, and a host of political, social, and economic figures, as well as Byblos Bank managers from Lebanon and Iraq.

Byblos Bank was the first Lebanese bank to open a branch in Erbil, Kurdistan - Iraq back in 2007, in Baghdad in 2010, and in Basra in 2012, bringing in its vast expertise in banking services, and proving its ability to work in and adapt to difficult conditions.

On this occasion Mr. Jean Bassil, Country Manager of Byblos Bank Iraq said: "Byblos Bank has always believed in Iraq's capability to recover and rise to challenges, and was keen to be part of this process". He added: "Opening a second branch in Kurdistan - Iraq will offer several job opportunities for the youth, and will contribute to the economic prosperity as well as the development of the city of Sulaymaniyah. This can be achieved thanks to various loan products, to be offered to individuals and companies alike. This new branch will also provide a safe platform for banking operations to and from the Kurdistan region".

The new Byblos Bank Branch in Sulaymaniyah offers the latest banking services and products, including Correspondent Banking, Corporate Banking, Consumer Banking, and Trade Finance.

The new branch is located in Salem Street, Mall of Kurdistan, next to Ramada Hotel and to key commercial and financial institutions of the city. It was designed to meet the needs of customers and to facilitate their banking operations. Along with all other branches of Byblos Bank in Iraq, this new branch benefits from the modern technology of the Group's Headquarters in Beirut, and the expertise of its seasoned staff. 

With this new expansion, the number of Byblos Bank branches in Iraq increases to four, which are strategically located to better respond to customers' needs, and help them develop their lifestyle and businesses.
