Bahrain achieves six million COVID-19 tests milestone

Bahrain has achieved a new milestone in its fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Health Ministry yesterday revealed that the total number of PCR tests carried out since the beginning of the pandemic has exceeded six million.

This achievement is a crowning of efforts by the National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in implementing the directives of His Majesty King Hamad to safeguard the health and safety of citizens and residents of the kingdom, the ministry said.

The task force has stressed the importance of adhering to the precautionary measures and taking the vaccine and booster shots as necessary steps in fighting the virus.
