Schools will still continue to operate as individual institutions on their separate sites

The First Royal Alliance to launch at beginning of next academic year in September

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Two leading GEMS Education schools are creating an exciting new alliance from September to further enhance the quality of all-round education for all their students.

The First Royal Alliance will be formed for the next academic year between GEMS FirstPoint School – The Villa (FPS), and GEMS Royal Dubai School (RDS), offering pupils at both the best possible support across multiple areas by pooling facilities and resources. They will also hold several joint events together while teachers will be able to learn directly from shared best practices, enriching student learning.

The development will also firmly establish GEMS FirstPoint as the ideal through school solution for RDS students once they leave primary education, offering pupils a smooth transition thanks to their previous experiences and collaborations at FPS.

The schools will continue to operate on their separate sites, with GEMS FirstPoint School Principal/CEO, Matthew Tompkins, who is in his 20th year as a senior leader in education, overseeing the new Alliance while continuing his current role at his school.

Matthew Tompkins said: “This is a really positive development for both our schools and one that will continue to enhance the quality of education our children receive. I am very excited to be working alongside the Senior Leadership Team at GEMS Royal Dubai School, and together we will work to ensure that The First Royal Alliance will be viewed as a gold standard in education on both the national and international stages.”

GEMS Royal Dubai School Principal and CEO, Vicky Martin, added: “The First Royal Alliance will create an environment where students and their progress are celebrated, with every child’s learning personalised to suit their needs. It is a really exciting step for our school and will benefit our community for many years to come.”
