• ‘Digital Cards’ option supports Dubai Paperless Strategy 2021 and reduces cost of business
  • ‘Job Listings’ to promote hiring and emiratisation
  • New features respond to current market needs and are cost-free, says Al Saadi

Dubai: EngageDXB, the smart application launched by Dubai Economy to serve as a communication platform for all registered businesses in the mainland and free zones across the emirate, has announced the addition of new features that help businesses and employees in Dubai to better engage with partners and government entities.

The three new features – Create Events, Digital Business Cards and Job Listings - enable easier and simpler peer to peer connections on the app, marking another step towards the transformation of Dubai into a competitive digital business environment.

Launched in 2017 to serve the networking needs of business groups and councils, EngageDXB has since been evolving into a complete business engagement platform by rolling out new features to expand its user base to all individuals, businesses and government officials operating in Dubai.

The platform continues to grow with free zones, including Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), Dubai Healthcare City FZE (DHCC) and Meydan, coming onboard. All companies registered and individuals working in these free zones can now enjoy all the benefits, leverage this platform to network and to find potential business partners.

Mohammed Shael Al Saadi, CEO of the Corporate Strategic Affairs sector in Dubai Economy, said the new features and services respond to current market needs and are available free of cost. “EngageDXB is a significant initiative that will bring every aspect of doing business, from liaising with government authorities, clients and partners to decision-making related to operations, management and development, on a smart platform accessible from anywhere, anytime.”

Al Saadi added that EngageDXB will continue to enhance the platform with more value-added features to grow the application with the aim of serving Dubai’s business and employee needs.

Through the ‘Create Events’ feature Dubai Economy seeks to provide the most cost effective and seamless event management platform to corporates and individual users registered on EngageDXB. Users can create, manage and attend events posted on the platform. This will enable companies to reach out to their exact target audience for services or product launches.

Furthermore, the feature is comprehensive allowing users to manage all categories of events from small-scale exclusive events and talks to large-scale exhibitions and forums. The feature will efficiently manage the entire invitation and registration process cost-free. The platform is also designed to extend the event invitation to non-EngageDXB users.

The ‘Digital Business Cards’ option comes in line with the Dubai Paperless Strategy and will help corporates reduce their operational cost. As soon as a user is registered on the app, an e-business card is created by default, which can be customised as per user preferences. Users can customise independent businesses cards to suit their multiple career roles or target partner.

The ‘Job Listings’ feature brings on board the app ‘Dubai Careers,’ which is a Smart Dubai platform to promote public sector job opportunities and help individuals to seek their ideal jobs.  It will also enable government employers find the right talent and support Emiratisation.
