Research from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals hails Dubai Courts' accuracy, promptness and transparency in achieving justice

UAE - A newly released report from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has hailed Dubai Courts as a benchmark for the country's continuing efforts to further develop its litigation procedures. The report, which is entitled 'Provisions leading the litigants to a delay of the ruling,' was authored by His Excellency (H.E.) Dr. Khalid bin Abdulaziz bin Sulaiman Al Salman, Head Researcher of the Islamic Studies Department of the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. The commendation is the result of his recent visit to Dubai Courts to learn the standards, guidelines and mechanisms that it follows to raise the efficiency of its case management system, which quickly expedites the implementation of court decisions and promotes the values of justice based on neutrality, integrity, transparency, equality, independence and innovation. 

In the report, Dr. Al Salman cited Dubai Courts as a benchmark and key model to follow in Saudi's efforts to improve and enhance its litigation procedures. He noted that there is much to benefit from Dubai Courts accuracy, promptness and transparency in achieving justice. Dr. Al Salman also lauded Dubai Courts’ leading reputation among judicial circles, especially recognized for its best practices, management style, efficiency, professionalism and flexibility.

H.E. Taresh Eid Al Mansouri, Director General, Dubai Courts, expressed his appreciation over the commendation given to Dubai Courts, acknowledging the institution as a benchmark for the development of Saudi's litigation system. He noted that the citation affirms Dubai Courts' commitment towards its vision to become a role model for the regional and international judicial segments. Al Mansouri added that the successful achievements of Dubai Courts are the result of their continuous efforts to enhance the trust and confidence in the local judiciary system while also reinforcing the UAE's leading position in the global legal map--falling in line with the vision of His Highness (H.H.) Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.  

The Director General also commended the research and efforts made by Dr. Al Salman; noting that the research was based on in-depth knowledge and strategic recommendations that can help enhance the Kingdom's legal procedures.

“We are proud to see that Dubai Courts has been cited as a benchmark model to help improve and enhance Saudi's judicial system. Rest assured, we remain steadfast in our commitment to support and assist the Kingdom's efforts to develop its judicial system by sharing our knowledge, expertise and experiences--a move that can bring in successful developments and achievements at local, regional and international levels,” concluded Al Mansouri.
