The Ministry of Education has introduced military training for all female Emirati teachers in public schools in the country.

The ministry had on Sunday distributed circulars to all public school managements, informing them about the dates for implementation and starting of the short military training sessions.

The two-week military training will be conducted by the National Service and Reserves Authority and is mandatory for all female national teachers.

Accordingly to the circular, the training course was designed to provide knowledge and skills to the teachers including the country's values, loyalty, nationalism and teamwork so that it benefits them and their communities and enhance their love for the nation.

The training course will be held at Khawla Bint Al Azwar Military School in Mahwi Camp, Abu Dhabi from December 23 to January 13, 2019.

The teachers training will be conducted during the weekdays.

"The aim of this course is to raise awareness among female national teachers and improve their loyalty and pride and the ability to take on responsibilities, strengthen their spirit of belonging as well as teamwork," said authorities.
