Tehran - First petrochemical cooperation deal between Iran and Germany was signed by Kian Petrochemical and German Linde Group on Tuesday.

The deal on Front End Engineering Design (FEED) in Olefin Unit of Kian Petrochemical was inked by senior directors of the two companies in a ceremony attended by deputy petroleum minister for petrochemical affairs.

Kian Petrochemical Company was established in an area of 78 hectares in the second phase of Assalouyeh Special Petrochemical Zone in 2012 to implement the Olefin Project.

Olefin XII along with its downstream units with a capacity of 7,478,000 tons of middle final products is considered the biggest petrochemical complex in the world.

The Linde Group is a multinational industrial gases and engineering company founded in Germany in 1879.
