** Blockchain farm operator Bitfarms Ltd drops 13%, BTC mining machine maker Canaan down 7%

** Crypto bank Silvergate Capital loses 5%

** MicroStrategy sheds 15%, eyeing its lowest in over a year, after MSTR's bitcoin accounting to investors rejected by SEC, Bloomberg Tax reports 

** Crypto exchange Coinbase Global declines 9%, while online retailer and blockchain tech investor Overstock.com falls 1%

** The Nasdaq crypto index , which tracks a basket of digital assets, skids 11%; ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF, tracking bitcoin futures, slumps 13%

** Tech stocks also broadly down in premarket trading

** Markets are pricing in a chance the Fed hikes interest rates this week, though the overwhelming expectation is for a first move to 0.25% in March and three more to 1.0% by year-end
