Manama, Bahrain:  Zain Bahrain, a leading telecommunications operator in the Kingdom arranged a TALKS session for its employees to create awareness on incorporating healthy eating habits and leading an active lifestyle to foster greater productivity and performance in life. Part of the ‘zWellness’ program and aligned with the company’s wellness plan, the session aimed to build well-being in the workplace and proactively encouraged employees to break the cycle of unhealthy eating habits.

Zain Bahrain believes that to succeed and thrive, employees need to embrace practices that energize and prioritize their well-being in order to be their best selves at home, work or in their communities at large. By introducing multiple wellness programs, employees are supported to achieve greater well-being by fuelling themselves across four dimensions of energy—physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Zain Bahrain’s constant endeavour is to encourage all its employees to bring their best selves to work and motivate them to boost productivity and reach their potential.

For the TALK session, the company invited prominent Chef Fajer Al Mansoori, ex Le Meridien and a HTMI Swiss Graduate and holds a degree in food science from Harvard University and Hong Kong University. Held virtually, the session introduced employees to healthier alternatives for common recipes that’s utilised in our day-to-day life. The Chef also highlighted different ways to make meals healthier, limit the intake of saturated and trans fats, sugar, and salt in food and still cook a healthy meal by using alternative products. A live cooking session was also hosted where the Chef showcased some easy and quick tricks to preparing a healthy meal that could help improve how employees think, feel, and perform in daily life.
