Dubai, UAE: The EMSONS Group, distributors of well-known consumer brands across the UAE for over 50 years, announced the sale of its food distribution business to Abu Dhabi’s ADMMI. The transaction price was not disclosed. EMSONS was advised on the transaction by Ideal Management Consultants, a leading advisory firm based in Dubai.

Mr. Rajeev Bhatia, Managing Director of EMSONS said, “Our food business has done very well over the past five decades, but today our attention and our resources are strategically focused on other lines of business which are growing rapidly across the region. The FMCG brands under our distribution have been our partners for decades. We wanted to find a safe and experienced distribution partner and in ADMMI we found both.”

Mr. Nagarajan, Group CEO of ADMMI commented, “We are delighted to be able to add these important brands to our FMCG group and can assure our brand principles of the focus and dedication that they deserve. We are currently in a phase of rapid expansion both in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, having added several brands to our portfolio in the past two years. The strong support of our shareholders and a relentless pursuit of opportunities by our team have been the main catalysts of this growth.”
