ArabFinance: The Trade Ministry amended fees on nitrogen fertilizer exports to be EGP 600 per ton for one year, according to the ministrys recent statement.
The decision resulted from the rise in global prices, and it is effective as of March 2nd.
Global prices of nitrogen fertilizer reached $370 per ton (EGP 5,789) in 2021, compared to $230 per ton (EGP 3,599) in 2019, which necessitated a review of the prescribed fee.
In 2020, the ministry raised fees to EGP 550 per ton from EGP 500 in the prior year.
