MANAMA: The first International Artificial Intelligence virtual conference will be held in Bahrain on September 28 with participants and expertise from the UK, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain.

The major event is organised by Artificial Intelligence Society under the patronage of Shura Council chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh, who will also address the audience at the inauguration of the webinar.

The speakers in the conference include Intelligent Automation Hub and Big Innovation Centre Middle East chief executive Gary Thompson, chief information officer of King Fahad Hospital, Dammam Dr Mustafa Qurban, AI expert from the UK Namrata Naga, and Dr Fatema Alsabei from Derasat Bahrain.

International AI virtual conference and AI executive chairman Dr Jassim Haji said: “We are honoured for the third time with the patronage of His Excellency for our Artificial Intelligence conference, which reflects the importance of AI placed by him and government officials in Bahrain and the region.

“There is no doubt that AI will play a pivotal role in post-pandemic life, where machine learning and algorithms will transition traditional jobs and workplace activities to AI-driven remote activates. The immediate change will reflect on education, health, customer service, finance, legislation and several other client services.

“Speakers will focus on AI in finance, healthcare and neural networks and strategies,” Dr Haji added.
