Mr. Omar Nasralla, Branch Manager and Assistant Vice-President, Mashreq Bank, Dubai, remembers the hospitality icon and recollects all his learnings that have helped him to excel at his workplace and further carrying out his father’s legacy and being recognized through it.

With over fifty plus years of experience and commendable contributions, Mr. Abdin delivered industry excellence and achieved significant recognition in the tourism industry in Dubai whilst becoming a representative of the Hotel and Catering International Management Association (HCIMA) and a professional connoisseur.

Egypt-born Abdin Nasralla held a big influence and contribution over Dubai’s hospitality scene. He was named among Hotelier Middle East’s Power 50 figures. He was the CEO of Dubai Gourmet until 2017, before his retirement, and preceded this job with many others within the hospitality industry in the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and the United Kingdom.

From the Jebel Ali Golf Resort to the Oberoi in Egypt, Abdin’s career also spanned years at the Jumeirah Group. He was at the helm to open and run Bab Al Shams Desert Resort and was with Meydan Hospitality before his last job with Meraas, part of Dubai Holding. Commending him for his contributions to the industry, he was also granted a UAE citizenship.

To carry on his legacy forward, Noreen has also started a campaign #fightlikeAN to call for stronger, healthier, and more passionate hearts just like her dad’s. And she runs for this cause.
