Abu Dhabi:- Throughout a duration of two weeks, the students of the Faculty of Language and Media at the Academy of Arab Science, Technology and Maritime Transport attended a training program curated by Pyramedia Media Consultancy and Production in Abu Dhabi. This training brought together a selection of specialists from Egypt and the UAE in the field of photography, directing, production, the arts of writing, writing for radio, digital information, digital content and marketing, and E-marketing. This training is considered the first of its kind to promote cooperation between the Faculty of Language and Media and Pyramedia and it will be followed by multiple training programs in the near future. 

The training program included a workshop for two days for TV shows writing and the students visited Abu Dhabi Media Studios and the Abu Dhabi Radio Network Station (Emarat FM). This training was under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Her Excellency Professor Dr. Abeer Rifky, the support of the renowned media personality Nashwa Al Ruwaini, CEO of Pyramedia Group, and Dr. Alaa Ragab, the Director of the Media Training Department at Pyramedia.

During Al Ruwaini’s discussion with the students of the academy, she stated the importance of training and the influential role of media and the realms of technological development in communications. Moreover, in her speech she stressed on the importance of communication between the different generations in media to exchange experiences and gain special media skills for this career. She also added that the training department in the company is always eager to provide diverse courses that are up to date with the media market, resulting in creating job opportunities for media college graduates. 

Additionally, Al Ruwaini stressed on nurturing and training the talented students in different media sectors, as she is also very eager to provide a wide range of developed training programs in the areas of digital media as well. Pyramedia has always been keen to attract the most distinguished specialists to provide the training that are known to be amongst the top media experts in the Arab World. 

Moreover, Dr. Rifky affirmed that it was a very professional and advanced training on a technical level, as well as the beginning of a strong cooperation between the Academy with Pyramedia. Dr. Rifky also said that this is the first Arab collaboration experience of its kind in terms of format and content which featured specialised media content that helped the college graduates gain scientific skills both academically and professionally. She also expressed that Abu Dhabi had become a major media destination due to the significant investments made by the capital of the United Arab Emirates in the industry, which made her and her students very interested to study and go through  the experience. She added that she wanted her students to dig deeper into media’s important products with one of the most important Emirati company in the field of media – Pyramedia, which reflects the bright picture of the Arab Emirati media scene.
