Integrated facilities management services provider, Emrill, has launched high-level cleaning, a new in-house service to expand its offering.

According to the latest research data available from The Skyscraper Center, the city of Dubai is ranked fourth globally for the number of completed buildings over 150 metres tall. With a further 45 buildings within this category under construction and the complexity of projects increasing, Emrill has identified high-level cleaning as a growth area for its business.

Emrill had previously subcontracted high-level cleaning work to third-party operators and Sarah Rodgers, Emrill’s head of soft services, explained the decision to offer this service in-house: “Exterior cleaning can be a challenge. Due to the height and access issues involved, it’s a task normally left to specialist façade cleaning companies. However, Emrill understands the external windows and façade of buildings are the first impression tenants and visitors have of premises, so it’s important to our clients the highest standards are maintained at all times.

“We have launched a high-level cleaning service to ensure our clients can be confident the service they receive will meet the same high-quality and international health and safety standards Emrill adheres to in every other area of our business. A truly integrated service offering means our clients no longer have different contractors for each specialised service. Instead, Emrill is a single delivery point for all service activities carried out on their sites.

Emrill has launched the service in office and residential buildings in which the organisation already provides integrated facilities management services, including Dubai Marina, Downtown Dubai, The Greens and Dubai Festival City.

A newly trained, dedicated team will carry out high-level cleaning work. Cradle operators are fully licensed through a Dubai Accreditation Centre certified training centre.

Rodgers added: “We are in the early stages of offering this service, but there has already been an overwhelming response from our clients. Currently, our in-house capabilities include any project in which a cradle is utilised to clean external glass and façades. However, in collaboration with trusted service partners, we also offer rope access cleaning for even the tallest towers, so there are no limitations for our clients.”
