DUBAI, United Arab Emirates: Schneider Electric, the leader in digital transformation of energy management and automation, participated in the Tawteen 360 Student Forum to encourage more young Emiratis into the private sector.

“The forum witnessed Emirati students from national high-schools and universities get a chance to meet and interact with some of the world’s leading private sector companies. Schneider Electric’s involvement is a part of the company’s wider commitment towards greater inclusivity and diversity within, not just its business, but the private sector as a whole,” says Natalja Kissina, HR Vice President Gulf Countries, Schneider Electric.

The Forum provides guidance for students to help them identify their career paths through workshops. It raises awareness and motivation through youth circles hosting distinguished national cadres working in the private sector where they highlight their experience and their position in the industry. It also provides links to the job market through summer internships at leading institutions to promote Emiratisation. Over 7,800 Emirati students have taken part across the Forums held so far this year.

Schneider Electric’s Power System Vice President, Ahmed Fateen shared an inspirational talk about the Sustainable and Digital Future of Energy at the forum providing a peek to the students into the direction the world needs to be headed towards. Schneider Electric also brought their Mobile Innovation Hub featuring its EcoStruxure™ architecture to the event to showcase the latest energy efficiency and sustainability technology to the students to gain maximum inspiration and exposure. The Minister of Human Resources and Emiratization visited the truck to personally experience and understand the EcoStruxure architecture.

The Tawteen 360 Student Forum took place from September 30th to October 2nd at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi.
