Dubai: Union Coop, the largest Consumer Cooperative in the UAE opened its 17th branch in the Nad Al Sheba -2, part of its rapid expansion strategy to increase its market share by establishing new branches of varied sizes in different areas, which will serve all segments of the society and better fulfil of their requirements.

The branch was inaugurated by H.E. Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO of Union Coop, in the presence of Mr. Harib Mohammed Bin Thani, Director of Operations Division. Engr. Madiya Al Marri, Director of Properties and Projects Division, Union Coop and Managers from different departments.

On the opening of the new branch, H.E. Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi had this to say, “Opening of Union Coop’s 17th Branch in the Emirate of Dubai highlights its economic strength and its core objective of expanding and spreading its services within the community. This new store will provide more than 33,000 high-quality food and non-food items to a large segment of consumers in the region of Nad Al Sheba at competitive prices.”

“Union Coop Shareholders can make purchases on their membership account. Moreover, customers of the Tamayaz loyalty program can use their Gold (for Shareholders) and Silver Tamayaz cards at the time of purchase and earn loyalty points. They can get additional discounts up to 90 % on a wide variety of products, specifically during Ramadan's promotional campaigns on wide range of food and non-food items,” adds Al Falasi.

“This New branch shall operate seven days a week from 6 AM to 2 AM to provide the best services all the times. This new concept maintains modern retail trade standards in all aspects. Some noteworthy sections include a butchery, Fishery, roastery, Bakery, delicatessen and Spices sections.”

With regard to the area of the branch, "The area of the new branch is around 26, 000 sq. ft. with a direct view of the Nad Al Sheba Road with main parking area. This branch is in proximity to the Nad Al Hammer Street that connects Nad Al Sheba areas 1, 2 and 3, linking them directly to Al Ain-Dubai road. A great deal of attention was paid to the design, furnishing and equipping the branch with appropriate modern standards that came along with the selected area.”
