Eng Marwan Bin Ghalita, Vice Chairman of the AAF Board Members said, “We are very satisfied with the start of the programme. It is a continuation of our past sessions and addresses several aspects of personal development, such as motivation, aim setting, prioritising, self-awareness, self-assessment, and harmonic development, which helps young leaders enhance their skillsets and begin the next steps of professional development. On this important occasion, we’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Thumbay Group for their dedicated support and cooperation in making this event a success. We are confident that their enduring support will go a long way in shaping the youth of tomorrow.”

In addition, the ‘Personal Development Plan’ outlined an action plan based on the participant’s values and goals, offering the participants an opportunity to articulate the next steps of their development journey.

Additionally, the ‘Health & Nutrition’ session demonstrated nutritional dietary choices and a physical fitness regime to boost the participant’s physical fitness by the end of the programme. In this engaging session, participants were able to identify the correlation between healthy living and leadership by identifying food options given the results of their health tests and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Focusing on personal and professional development, the session on ‘Advanced Communication and emotional intelligence’ demonstrated appropriate communication techniques, with an aim to help participants communicate, absorb information in their workplaces and personal lives.

The ‘Etiquette and Protocol’ session demonstrated appropriate examples of interactions with VVIPs in different situations. The session briefly covered the UAE vision, key concepts for ethical behaviour and outlined several mechanics and methods for appropriate behaviour while meeting, addressing and greeting VIPs and high-profile dignitaries.

The session on ‘My Self’ also featured a special introduction on ‘Media Engagement’. This session demonstrated techniques on writing key messages to journalists, summarised the key components of successful media interviews and outlined how to develop specific story angles and pitches for different media platforms.

In addition to the focused sessions, the participants also had an opportunity to visit Ajman Museum which was led by ALP2 graduate Ms Maitha Al Suwaidi in conjunction with Ajman Tourism Department and Ajman Museum.
