Doha: With this summer's major football tournaments in Europe and the Americas just days away from kick-off, we look ahead at the organisational elements and numbers behind delivering the first ever FIFA World Cup in the Middle East in 2022:

--Enough broadcast cabling to reach from Doha to Sochi, one of the host cities for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, as well as 2.3 million metres of fibre optic and ethernet cable - enough to get from Doha to Mumbai.

--70,000 outdoor lights - more than three times as many lights as the Eiffel Tower.

--84,000 tonnes of structural steel - more than twice the amount used for Burj Khalifa.

--9,200 trees will be planted in the areas surrounding the proposed 2022 FIFA World Cup host venues - more than double the amount in London's Hyde Park.

--10,880 doors, 26 times the number of doors in the White House and 7 times as many as Buckingham Palace.

To deliver the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy will rely upon the skills and experience of people and businesses from across Qatar and the Middle East.
